You’re welcome to read the guide and use it to plan your own trips, for personal and non-commercial purposes. Share links to our pages freely: that is exactly what they’re for.

Please don’t use the site in ways that break the law, disrupt how it works, or pass our content off as your own.

Our content and copyright

The articles, guides, page structure, design and our own photographs on this site are original work and are protected by copyright. Unless a specific item is marked otherwise, this content belongs to us or is used here under licence.

You may not copy, republish, translate, resell or otherwise reproduce our content, in whole or in substantial part, for commercial use or public redistribution without our written permission. Automated scraping, bulk copying or re-hosting of the guide (including to populate or train other websites) is not allowed.

Quoting and linking

Short quotations are fine when you credit us clearly and add a working link back to the original page. We’re happy to be cited, and a link is the right way to do it.

Some photos come from third parties under their own licences (for example Creative Commons or public domain); the author and licence are shown next to each such image. If you reuse those, follow the terms of the original licence, not ours.

Accuracy and no warranties

We work hard to keep facts correct and current, but travel details change: prices, opening hours, transport timetables and entry rules can all move without notice. The guide is provided “as is”, for general information only, with no warranty that everything is complete or up to date.

Always confirm anything that matters for your trip, especially visas, transit rules, insurance and other official requirements, with the relevant official source before you rely on it. We aren’t liable for decisions made solely on the basis of the guide.

External and affiliate links

The guide links to third-party websites, including partners. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, prices or policies. Some outbound links are affiliate links; see our Affiliate Disclosure for how that works.

Copyright complaints (notice and takedown)

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email us at the address below. We confirm receipt of every notice, review it, and write back with our decision. When a complaint holds up, we remove or correct the material.

Please include: your name and an email address where we can reach you; the work you believe has been infringed; the exact web address of the page and which material on it you mean; why you believe our use of that material infringes your rights; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not permitted by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and complete and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or may act on behalf of the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We use these details only to handle your notice.

Visitors cannot publish content or open accounts here, so there are no user accounts to close for repeated infringement: we publish everything on the site ourselves, including tour listings supplied by a booking partner. We also forward notices about these listings to that partner.

If material was removed after a notice and you think that was a mistake, for example because you licensed it to us, email us at the same address and tell us the web address of the page, what was removed, and why we may use it. If you are right, we put it back.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site develops; the date above shows the last revision. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
